Goals for 2010

January 2, 2010 by admin

With the new year comes a new mindset. It’s time for me to buckle down and do what I’ve been capable of doing for a long time. For those of you that don’t know me be prepared to be amazed. For those that do know me be prepared to witness what most of you expected all along. With that said, here are my financial goals for 2010:

1. Grow HipHopUtopia to 50k+ Unique Hit Per Month

HipHopUtopia.com is currently getting about 15k unique hits per month. So I’m looking to more than triple the monthly traffic. With the new features and redesign I have planned, this goal should be fairly easy to achieve.

2. Get Barrack’s Mom off the ground

Barrack’s Mom is an offline venture that my wife and I thought of a few months ago. Basically, it’s a laundry service for the soldiers of Fort Cambpell that don’t have time or simply don’t want to waste their free time doing laundry. I’m aiming for $75k in revenue in 2010. Honestly, it’s a pretty steep goal but not impossible.

3. Local Affiliate Marketing

My definition of Local Affiliate Marketing is helping an offline business gain more clients/customers by utilizing the world wide web. For instance, let’s say a landscaping company in Pahokee, Florida is looking to expand their business and everytime someone searched the web for “landscaping in pahokee” their competitor popped up. Obviously, that wouldn’t benefit them at all but what if their listing appeared at the top? They would gain more business thus making us all more money. ;) As you can imagine, this is a very lucrative opportunity.

Gaining businesses trust initially will be difficult but I see endless opportunities with this idea. Even though I anticipate a very rough start, I’m setting a $10k per month goal on this one. So, if I hit $120k in revenue by the end of 2010 I will have achieved this goal.

4. Earn $157,000+ in 2010

As you can see, I anticipate 2010 to be a big year. My overall financial goal is $157,000 this year. If I reach my first 3 goals, I will be well over on this goal so stay tuned!!!

(On a side note, my income as an enlisted soldier in the U.S. Army will not count toward this overall goal.)
